About Princess Island Guide
An independent visitor guide to Istanbul's Princes' Islands — what we do, and how we keep the lights on.
Princess Island Guide is an independent travel guide to the Princes' Islands (Adalar) — Büyükada, Heybeliada, Burgazada and Kınalıada — off the coast of Istanbul.
Our goal is simple: to be the clearest, most useful guide to visiting the islands, whether you're planning a first day trip or digging into the history behind the mansions. We cover the practical stuff (ferries, fares, timings, getting around) and the good stuff (Aya Yorgi, the beaches, the quieter islands, the stories).
How we research
We build each guide from primary and reputable sources — official ferry operators and museum pages, the Istanbul municipality's transport information, and established travel references — and we date the facts that change. Where figures are volatile (ferry fares, museum hours, beach-club fees), we flag them so you know to reconfirm on the day. Every guide carries a "last updated" date, and we revise pages as prices and rules change.
How this site is funded
We keep the guide free to read. When we recommend a tour or ferry ticket, we sometimes use affiliate links — if you book through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only point to well-reviewed, reputable operators, and our recommendations aren't for sale. We also offer advertising placements for island hotels, restaurants, bike-rental shops and tour operators — get in touch.
Accuracy
Prices, ferry fares and opening hours in Turkey change often. We date and flag figures where we can, but always double-check the latest details with operators before you travel. Spotted something out of date? Let us know.
