Where to Stay
Where to Stay on the Princes' Islands
Historic hotels, boutique guesthouses, and whether to swap the day trip for a night on Büyükada.

Most visitors come for the day — but staying over has a real payoff: once the last ferries leave, the islands empty out and turn quiet and golden. Büyükada has the most choice.
Historic & landmark hotels
Splendid Palace Hotel — Büyükada's icon, opened in 1908, with its twin domes, high-ceilinged rooms, antique furniture and sea-view terraces, a few minutes' walk from the harbour. Past guests reportedly included Wallis Simpson and Edward VIII. (Verify current opening/renovation status before booking.)
Princes' Palace Resort — a modern luxury option on Büyükada for travellers who want full resort comforts.
Boutique & guesthouses
Büyükada and the quieter islands have a scattering of boutique hotels and guesthouses, many in restored wooden mansions. They book up fast in summer and on weekends, so reserve ahead.
Day trip vs. overnight
- Day trip: simplest and cheapest — perfect for Büyükada highlights.
- Overnight: best for a slower pace, sunset and early-morning calm, and for seeing more than one island.
